Niyama is a personal discipline such as cleanliness, contentment, austerity, self-study, devotion to God, etc.
A co-worker and I have started taking Yoga in the mornings before work and during lunch. We are kind of obsessed with it. There are so many wonderful things about yoga.
1. Exercise. An awesome workout... I'm talking sweat dripping down the face, muscles shaking, huffing and puffing (while trying to maintain correct breathing form) workout.
2. Rejuvenation. Awesome way to start our day on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday Mornings and nice break from the day on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.
3. Inspiration. Even on days we cannot attend yoga, or maybe didn't push ourselves hard enough in the 6 A.M class (seriously, 6 AM) we are inspired to go for a walk, jog or run because our bodies are now craving the high.
4. Sanity. Enough said.
Hopefully after a few months of practice, I can look like the girl in the photo above (HA).
Amazing, right?
